For the second year in a row, EECU teamed up with Colonial Country Club, the PGA TOUR, and Mastercard to give students from Brewer Middle School an unforgettable experience at the Charles Schwab Challenge.

These White Settlement ISD students got a true behind-the-scenes look at the world of professional golf. Their day included a meet-and-greet with PGA TOUR player Lanto Griffin, a guided tour of the course and media center, time on golf simulators to try out their swings, and a chance to collect autographs from other pro golfers.

EECU also hosted a Q&A session with meteorologist Branden Katona, who shared tips about his career and how weather forecasting plays a key role in planning major tournaments like this one.

At EECU, we’re passionate about inspiring the next generation of North Texans. We’re proud to create an opportunity that helped these students see what’s possible.
“It was a privilege to showcase the world of professional golf to these young students,” said Lonnie Nicholson, President and CEO of EECU. “Our hope is that this experience inspires them to pursue their dreams and to keep striving to be their best in all they do.”
