Understanding current vs available balance
When you view your balance in Online Banking or the EECU Mobile App you will see two kinds of balances:
Current Balance
and
Available Balance
.
Current Balance
(also known as “actual” balance)
Your current balance is the sum of all posted/cleared transactions that EECU is aware of, and DOES NOT include pending transactions. Pending transactions will be listed at the top of your account history. For example, if you have a $100.00 current balance and you just used your EECU Debit Card to make a $60.00 payment, then your current balance will show $100.00 because the current balance does not include the pending debit card transaction.
Available Balance
Your available balance is the sum of all transactions, plus or minus the pending (credit or debit) transactions that EECU is aware of. For example, if you have a $100.00 current balance and you just used your EECU Debit Card to make a $60.00 payment, then your available balance will be $40.00 because the available balance does include the pending debit card transaction.
It is important to note that the available balance does not include the following: pre-scheduled debit card transactions, outstanding ACH transactions, or any payments you have made that have not yet been processed by EECU.
